You bought Rapidgator Premium, but downloads are still slow, still ask for a captcha, or your download manager says you are a free user. Almost every case comes down to one of the eight causes below. Work through them in order; most people are fixed by the first three.
1. The code was never activated
A Rapidgator Premium voucher does nothing until you redeem it on your own account. Buying it is not enough.
- Sign in at rapidgator.net. Create a free account first if you do not have one.
- Open the Premium page (rapidgator.net/article/premium).
- Click enter coupon below the plans, paste your code into the Premium Voucher field and confirm.
- Your account page should now show Premium with an expiry date and a traffic balance.
Copy and paste the code rather than typing it. Extra spaces at either end, or a letter O typed instead of a zero, are common reasons a code is rejected.
2. You are signed in to a different account
If you have more than one Rapidgator account, or signed up again with another email, Premium may be on the other one. Check the email address shown on your account page. Premium stays on the account where the code was redeemed and cannot be moved to another.
3. Your traffic is used up
Rapidgator Premium comes with a traffic allowance for the whole term, for example 1 TB on the 30-day plan. It does not refill daily or monthly. When it runs out, your account still shows Premium days, but downloads behave like a free account. Your account page shows the remaining traffic next to the expiry date. 4. Premium has expired
Check the expiry date on your account page. Premium ends at the end of the term even if you still have traffic left.
5. Your download manager is not signed in
Downloading in the browser works, but JDownloader, IDM or another manager still downloads slowly? The manager needs your Rapidgator login separately. In JDownloader, open Settings, then Account Manager, add Rapidgator with your username and password, and then refresh the account. It should show as Premium with your traffic and expiry date. If you changed your Rapidgator password, update it there as well. Also make sure the program is up to date, because Rapidgator support in download managers sometimes needs an update after Rapidgator changes something on its side.
6. A VPN or shared login is causing trouble
Rapidgator watches for one Premium account being used from many places at once. If you share your login, or a VPN switches you between servers in different countries, sign out everywhere, change your password, and try again from one connection without the VPN. Keep your Premium account for your own use.
7. The browser is showing an old session
If the site still shows you as a free user after activating, sign out, clear the cookies for rapidgator.net, close the browser and sign in again. Trying a private window is a quick way to check whether old cookies are the problem.
8. The file itself is the problem
“File not found” means the uploader’s file was removed. Premium cannot bring it back. If one particular file is slow but others download at full speed, the problem is with that file or Rapidgator’s server at that moment, not your Premium. Try again later or find another link.

Frequently asked questions
Why does Rapidgator still show me as a free user after I bought Premium?
Usually the voucher has not been redeemed yet, or it was redeemed on a different account. Sign in, open rapidgator.net/article/premium, click “enter coupon” and paste the code. Then check that your account page shows Premium.
Does Rapidgator traffic reset every day?
No. Your traffic is one allowance for the whole plan. Whatever you do not use today is still there tomorrow, but once it is used up it does not refill until you buy another plan.
Why is JDownloader not using my Rapidgator Premium?
The account has to be added in JDownloader’s Account Manager with your current Rapidgator username and password. After adding it, refresh it so it shows Premium. Updating JDownloader fixes most remaining problems.
Can I move Premium to another Rapidgator account?
No. Premium stays on the account where the code was redeemed. Check which account you are signed in to before you redeem a code.
What if my Rapidgator voucher code is rejected?
Copy and paste it again without extra spaces. If it is still rejected, email us with your order number and a screenshot of the error, and we will replace it.
