Who this plan is for
Buy this if Rapidgator is a fixture rather than an experiment. A full year at $99 costs about what six months would at the monthly rate, so if you expect to use the host for more than seven months, everything after that is effectively free.
Twelve terabytes is also enough that traffic stops being a consideration entirely for all but the most extreme use.
Is 12 TB enough?
Twelve terabytes over a year is roughly 33 GB a day, or 230 GB a week, as a single pool rather than a daily allowance. In practice that means you can pull 500 GB in a weekend without consequence, because the pool absorbs it.
Only genuinely continuous heavy downloading — every day, at volume, all year — would exhaust this.
